Literature Text

Papa, shed not those tears
because angels lay in heaven:
watching you push away those dear;

mother grasps-beckons-
pleads; met with resistance.
You conquer nothing nor strengthen

the bonds you held diligently,
shattered in the wake
of your torrent of negligence.

Papa! I won't stand nor make
excuses for your decomposition,
but do not cry as mama has taken

her leave from your destruction.
Your constant stream of woes
no longer saddens, but suctions

all essence from those
willing to stand by you.
Please do not doze...

Papa, please listen too.
No longer cry your dissatisfaction
as tears shall not do-

Heaven is home, my satisfaction
so let angels lay in heaven
to watch with gratification

as you live in life and strengthen-
Please papa, do not cry and weaken!
Please papa, let your angel lay in heaven-
This is in the form of a terza rima and a different perspective to my other poem Let Angels Lay.

*Mahi-Fish helped me polish the piece up, so thanks for that Scott. Hope it works a bit better.

:aww: Enjoy :aww:
